War Affected School Development

Peace has finally returned after decades of internal war in Northern Uganda allowing residents to return back to their homes, however this has created complex issues with little or no infrastructure to cope with the sudden influx of people. Abim District is located in Nth Eastern Uganda.Thousands of children are being denied the right to an education due to lack of schools. Operation Uganda completed construction of a 7 classroom primary school in 2015 with a current enrolment of 580 students. We are currently construction an Early Childhood & Wellness Centre for 150 Pre-school aged children in this area which will be opened at the beginning of 2018.
